Benahavis
Benahavís is a Spanish mountain village between Marbella, Estepona, and Ronda, 7 km from the coast.
On the southern face of La Serrania de Ronda mountain range, Benahavís is one of the most mountainous villages on the western Costa del Sol, near the resort beaches as well as the spectacular mountains of the Serrania de Ronda. Its terrain is traversed by the Guadalmina, Guadaiza and Guadalmansa Rivers. Places of great natural and historic interest are to be found within its boundaries, such as El Cerro del Duque, Daidin and the Montemayor Castle.
Benahavís landscape is very picturesque. From the main road up to the town of Estepona, you reach the main road of Benahavis. Then the ground rises and shows the foothills of the mountains. Benahavís is therefore a paradise for nature lovers, ideal for hiking and cross it to enjoy a unique landscape which is a relaxation for the mind and an exaltation of the senses.
Benahavís mixes the typical traditional white villages of the province of Málaga with the modernity of the 21st century tourist infrastructure. The municipality gathers a dozen golf courses such as Villa Padierna Los Flamingos Golf & Country Club, El Paraiso Golf & Club, La Zagaleta Golf, Atalaya Golf Club, La Quinta Golf, Los Arqueros Golf Club and Capanes del Golf; diverse resources for the practice of adventure sports in a beautiful natural environment and a varied gastronomic offer.
